East Branch Farm
Karen and Mark Tucker operate East Branch Farm in northeastern Minnesota. Their farm is new, even though the Tuckers have owned their land for 27 years. The Tuckers raise goats, beef cows and chickens on their farm. The goats are milking goats and the Tuckers make their own goat cheese.
In 2015, Karen and Mark began raising Nigerian goats and had their first litter of kids a year later.
The Tuckers’ East Branch Farm is a dream come true for Mark after he spent time working on a relative’s farm in southern Minnesota when he was young. Karen and Mark’s son, Steve, and his wife, Jenny, live on the adjoining property and help take care of the animals.
The Tuckers have large flower and vegetable gardens on their farm. Karen is a Master Gardener.
