Tim and Jodi Westrum and Family

Freeborn County

Tim and Jodi both grew up in Freeborn County on family farms. After earning their college degrees, Tim at Iowa State University and Jodi at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, they started farming. Tim and Jodi began their farming careers in 2003 farming with Tim’s parents, Dean and Sue. The Westrum family Farm has been in the family for 140 years.

Today, Tim and Jodi operate a cash grain farm raising corn and soybeans; they continue to farm with Tim’s parents. In the future, the Westrums look forward to working more closely with Jodi’s parents, Ron and Linda Erickson. In addition to farming, Tim works off the farm as a sales agronomist with Shell Rock Ag in Hayward and Jodi teaches first grade at Southgate Elementary School in Austin.

The Westrums have three daughters: Lara, Bryn and Nora, all have been involved in various activities including 4-H, skating, dancing, volleyball and more.

Tim is a board member of the Freeborn County Corn and Soybean Growers Association, the Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce Agribusiness Committee and serves as treasurer of Bear Lake/St. Paul Lutheran Parish.

Jodi teaches Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and is a Twin Lakes 4-H club adult leader.
