Terrance and Janice Lorch Family
The Lorches purchased their farm near Mantorville in October, 1969. The farm consisted of a farrow-to-finish hog operation along with corn, soybeans and wheat.
Early in their farming career, Terrance worked off the farm as assistant manager at Kasson Moorman Feed and Janice worked as a technician at IBM in Rochester.
Today the Lorches raise corn and soybeans along with a few head of beef. They also truck grain for area farmers.
Terrance and Janice have four children: Tammy, Jeffrey, Tobin and Jay. Their boys return home in the spring and fall to help with field work.
The Lorches are members of the Minnesota Farm Bureau and the Minnesota Corn Growers Association. Terrance served on the Dodge County Extension Committee for many years and both he and Janice were 4-H volunteers for over 35 years. Janice is a member of the SE District Home Study Group. The Lorches are members of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
