Lynne Family Farm

Freeborn County

The Lynne farm near Hartland, MN is a five generation family farm.  It has been in the family since 1871.  It was initially a hog farm.  Today the farm is a 320 acre corn and soybean operation.  Paul and Linda have three children; Chris, Rebecca, and Eric.  All three children have moved off the farm with their families.  Son Chris and his wife Mariah live and farm in the Hartland area with their two children.  In addition Chris works at Precision Planting for the Corn Palace.  Paul and Linda’s daughter Rebecca Houg owns Rebecca Lynne Photography Studio in Northwood, Iowa, and Rebecca’s husband Andy is a building contractor.  Rebecca and Andy have two children.  Paul and Linda’s son Eric and his wife Melissa live in Sheboygan, WI with their daughter.  Eric is a civil engineer and Melissa is an RN

When Paul is not busy in the fields, he is involved in the community.  In past years, Paul has taken leadership positions as a township officer, a church trustee, a church treasurer, a 4-H leader, and a member of the Corn and Soybean Growers Associations.  He is presently on the Ag Star Advisory Board.  Linda was a 4-H Key Leader for nine years, a representative for the Extension Home Study Cluster Event Planning Board, a Sunday school and Bible school teacher, and a church deacon.
