The Petersen Farm, located near Rush City, MN has been in the Petersen family since 1947. The family farm was started by Howard Petersen. Today Charles and Trudy Petersen, along with their son Lance and one other farm hand run 750 acres of corn and beans. The Petersens strive to farm with the environment in their mind, planting non-genetically modified organism corn. They have also used strip tillage and precision ag for the last five years. Charles, Trudy, and Lance all work off the farm, but do get a majority of their income from the farm.
The Petersens are involved in the Chisago County Farm Board. They are past FFA members.
