Cory and Layne Ebeling
In 1935, Ed and Mildred Ebeling started farming on the western edge of Cedar Township in Martin County. In the 1960s, they turned the management of the farm over to their sons and wives John & Dianne and Keith & Linda. Since the 1990s, John’s son, Cory and Keith’s son, Layne, have managed the farm. Today Cory and Layne raise corn and soybeans in Martin and Jackson County. They also custom feed hogs for New Fashion Pork. Cory and Layne credit their family for their success. Layne and his wife Darnell have two sons Josiah (19) and Logan (14). Cory and his wife Stacy also have two children Jacob (15) and Katie (12). Both families help out with whatever they can do. Cory and Layne’s fathers John and Keith also continue to help on the grain farm as well as Layne’s brother, Mike who drives combine during harvest.
