John and Linda Schouviller
In 1984, John purchased the farm in Callaway, MN where he, his wife Linda, and their children currently live. At the beginning of his farming career, John raised a few beef cows and worked on a landscaping business. He also helped his father, mother, and brother milk cows at their family farm one mile down the road. After his mom and dad semi-retired from milking, John, Linda, and John’s brother Mike and his wife Lois decided to buy the cows. It was then in 1993 when they started Schouviller Dairy. Today John, Linda, Mike, Lois, and their children run the dairy. The Schouvillers have around 400 head of cattle, 120 of which are milk cows. They have 480 acres of land and raise corn, alfalfa, wheat, and soybeans. The farm is truly run by the family with all of the adults and children helping out. John and Linda have three children, Kelly, Matt, and Nicole. Mike and Louis have five children, Bobbi, Sami, Betty, Nick, and Adam.
In the community, John is a member of the Becker County Farm Bureau Board. John and Linda both belong to the Alumni of Detroit Lakes FFA. All three of John and Linda’s children are involved in the Detroit Lakes FFA Chapter.
