Roger and Linda Blazek
Roger and Linda Blazek of Rush City bought their farm in 1966. They started with 120 acres, but now have 257 acres and rent an additional 60 acres. The couple had a dairy operation until about seven years ago. They now raise corn, soybeans, wheat, and have beef cattle. Their farming operation is winding down as the two have been farming for over forty years. They have also lost land due to development. Roger has three children; Keith, Denise, and Kimberly and Linda has three children; Bryan, Anita, and Jeri.
In the community, Roger has been on the Almelund Creamery Board, the Rush City Coop Board, and ASCS. Linda’s children participated in 4-H, which resulted in Linda often working at the exhibit booth at the county fair. The family is also members of their local church.
