Steve and Carol Reinhardt
Steve and Carol Reinhardt of Palisade, MN began their farming career in 1968 with a commercial beef herd. Later, in 1975, the commercial herd transformed to an all registered Charolais herd. In 1985, registered Black Angus beef cattle were added. Today, the cow/calf operation at 4R Charolais and Angus Ranch is comprised of 80 cows, both Charolais and Black Angus. The Reinhardts retain the registered heifers and sell the registered breeding bulls. The 1100 acre ranch provides most of the hay for the ranch. It also provides pasture. Steve and Carol’s daughters; Shanen and Kaija and their children assist during calving and haying season.
In the community, the Reinhardts have been members of their national, state, and local Cattlemen’s Association. The family has also raised and shown registered Appaloosa and American Quarter horses. Their children and grandchildren have ridden and shown in all events, being very involved in the 4-H program. Steve and Carol have also volunteered many hours announcing shows, giving lessons, and building a safe arena for the children of Aitkin County to ride in.
