The Posthuma Family
The Posthuma Family farm in Hadley, MN started out as a dairy farm in the 1960’s by Paul’s father, Gary Posthuma. In the 1980’s, the farm was changed over to a corn, soybeans, alfalfa, and steer operation. Today, the farm consists of about 1000 acres of crops, including corn, soybeans, and alfalfa. It also has sheep and Holstein steers for 4-H projects. Horses can also be found on the farm, which are shown at county fair and various youth shows. Paul and Stacy have two children; Shay and Macy. The Posthuma farm is a family ordeal where everyone helps as needed.
Paul is a member of the Lake Wilson Community Club, the Murray County Corn and Soybean Growers Board, and the Murray County SWCD Board. Stacy is on the 4-H Livestock Committee, Murray County Extension Committee, and Murray County Fairgrounds Advisory Board. She is a 4-H leader and a 4-H Horse Project leader.
