Tony and Debi & Marc Cate Clasemann
Clasemann Dairy LLC located north of Long Prairie, MN was established in January of 2009 by Tony and Debi Clasemann along with their son Marc and his wife Cate. Previous to Tony and Debi’s ownership, the farm belonged to Joseph Clasemann, Anton Clasemann, and Francis and Lorraine Clasemann. Currently, the Clasemann’s own 220 acres, rent an additional 370 acres, and grow corn, soybeans, and alfalfa. They also milk 125 Holstein cows and have 90 replacement heifers on the farm site. The DHIA rolling herd average is at 23,000 lbs. on two a day milking. The calves on the Clasemann farm start in hutches, but then are moved to an open-front heifer facility that was built in 2004. Clasemann Dairy has been a closed herd since 1988 and the milking herd has more than doubled since 2002. Tony and Marc perform the day-to-day operations on the farm. Cate and Debi help with relief milking and Debi is the bookkeeper. The Clasemann’s recently hosted breakfast on their farm, at which nearly 400 people attended.
