Neal and Judy Weis
Neal and Judy Weis of St. Cloud are farming the farm that was established by James Brady in 1856. Over the course of years and four generations later, it has been passed down the family. Today, Neal and Judy along with their three kids Katie, Emily, and Kelly John farm 800 tillable acres with 500 acres of it being under irrigations. They grow corn, oats, rye, soybeans, and alfalfa. They also raise crossbred beef and hogs. Neal, Judy, and their kids all take part in the family farming business. They all help with spring planting and fall harvest, feeding cattle and pigs, and haying time and baling. Neal gets a very proud feeling when he is working the soil and walking around his farm knowing that his great, great, great uncle started the farm and that his kids are the 6th generation to live on the farm.
In the community, Neal, Judy, and their kids are members of St. Marcus Catholic Church in Clear Lake. Neal was also a board member of the Clear Lake Elevator for many years.
