The Estrem Family
Estrem Family Farms was established in 1946 by Willard and Bernice. The farm started with dairy, hogs, and chickens. As the family became older, they rented additional acres for cash crops. They now have alfalfa, hay, corn, and soybeans. Today Estrem Family Farms consists of Mark and Jeanne, David and Renee, and Kevin and Leanne. Willard and Bernice also assist with the farm as well as children of the couples. On the farm, the family raises corn and soybeans. They also do hog finishing and Holstein steers.
Organizations the family is involved in include Defeat of Jesse James Day in Northfield, Rice County Fair, Randolph FFA Alumni, River Friendly Farmers, and Rice County 4-H. Mark is also involved with the Rainbow Saddle Club Grounds Crew, Waterford Snowmobile Club, and St. Dominic Church. David is on the Central Valley Co-op Board and Interstate Mills Board. Kevin is on the Rice County Pork Producers and Promotions Board, Ag in the Classroom, Northfield Fire Department, and Dakota/Rice Corn Growers.
