Leslie and Alice Hofstad
The Hofstad’s from Plummer, MN own 6 quarters of land. Two of these quarters are in CRP and one quarter is in the Oklee Project of hybrid poplars. The family also raises beef cattle and grain farms. Leslie and Alice have two children. Son David is a mechanic for John Deere in Thief River Falls, MN. Daughter Diana is a teacher in Yuma, Arizona. The Hofstads have one granddaughter, EllaLynn.
In the community, Alice is a member of Salem Lutheran Church where she serves as WELCA president. She is also a member of the American Association of University Women, Area Women Educators, and serves on the NW MN Arts Council Alice spent her entire career in education; however, photography is also a true passion of hers. Les was also a teacher for 22 years. Besides being involved in education, Les is a lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church where he serves on the council. He is also a member of the Red Lake Falls Flying Club, Plummer American Legion Club, Plummer Snowmobile Club, and a past member of the Soil and Water Conservation District Board.
