Kevin and Tammy Krotzer
The 160 acre farm in Milaca, MN was purchased in 1984 as a dairy operation. At the time, it had 42 milking cows and it was a farm that raised all of the replacement heifers and finished out the steers. In 2002, the dairy farm was transformed to a Shorthorn beef cattle farm. The current operation raises and sells purebred Shorthorn cattle. It also grows hay for the herd and sells any extra hay as a cash crop. Kevin and Tammy have two sons and a daughter. The entire family helps in selecting breeding stock, putting the hay up, and making other management decisions.
The Krotzer family is active in 4-H as they are on the auction and scholarship committees. They are also superintendents of shows and of the barns. The Krotzer family is also active in St. Mary’s Church of Milaca as they have been volunteering in the teaching of CCD and confirmation classes.
