Jake and Ben Currier
The Currier Family Farm in Mantorville, MN dates back to the Civil War. A great-grandfather homesteaded the land and when each of the children married, he gave them 160 acres to start their own farm. Today, Jake and Ben farm the land that was given to their grandfather and then to their father. Today the brothers milk 90 cows and raise replacements from baby calf to bred heifer. They also till 150 acres of corn and alfalfa for livestock feed. Jake and Ben get help from their brothers Tom and Ike who help with field work.
Jake and Ben, along with their mother, Margaret are members of the First Congregational Church of Mantorville. Their milk is sold to AMPI. They two men are members of MN DHIA, MN Milk Producers Association, and Farm Bureau.
