Brad and Nancy Stockman
Brad Stockman grew up on a dairy farm in the Glencoe area and in the last 2 years has returned to the love of the dairy farm. His family now resides in Pine River, MN. Before coming back to the dairy industry, Brad raised beef cattle for over 18 years. In 2008, Brad and Nancy built a new dairy barn with 46 stalls and 2 calving pens. It was then that they also bought a small herd of registered Holsteins. Today Brad has over 100 registered Holstein cows and heifers and some beef cattle. The beef cattle are used as recipients for Holstein embryos; therefore, Brad is able to quickly build the herd. As far as crops go, Brad farms 400 acres total. He grows alfalfa, corn, and hay. He gets assistance on the farm from his wife Nancy and their two children, Molly and Austin.
The Stockman’s are enrolled in MN DHIA and the US Holstein Association. They have received various awards from those organizations including the Top Quality Milk Producer Award and the Progressive Genetics Award. Nancy is active in the Health, Human, and Veteran Services Advisory Committee and in their local family church.
