Bradley Leiding has been involved in farming his entire life. He first farmed with his father and two brothers on the family farm operation east of Mankato, raising corn and soybeans. They also had a hog operation. After graduating from South Central Technical College in 1976 and farming for a bit, Bradley moved to the current location northwest of Lake Crystal in 1983 where he and his wife Linda raise corn and soybeans. This particular farm site has been in the family since the early 1930s. Brad and Linda have five daughters: Jess and Mathias Phelps with grandson Henry, Jenni and Joel Spangenberg, Jacquie and Andy Lamm, Jessica and Ben Ruby, and Erin Leiding. Brad currently farms with the assistance of his father who helps with planting and harvest.
Brad has been involved with the MN Soybean Growers Association, Blue Earth County Soybean Growers Association, Farm Bureau, Corn Growers Association, BENCO, and Great River Energy. He was also a member of the first class of the MN Agriculture and Rural Leadership (MARL) group. Linda promotes agriculture awareness through her involvement on the Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial School Board when she is not working full time at MRCI, which is headquartered in Mankato.
