Dan and Seena Glessing Dan and Seena Glessing are raising the 5th generation of farmers in the family. The current farm in Waverly, MN was purchased in 1965 by Maurice and Eva Glessing. Currently, Dan, Seena, and the family milk 75 Holsteins in a stanchion barn with a freestall. In addition to milking, Dan and Seena raise all of their own replacement heifers and finish out 40 dairy steers each year. Besides dairy, the operation consists of 500 acres of corn, soybeans, and alfalfa. They are also in the process of succession planning for the next generation. Dan and Seena are in partnership with Dan’s father, Allen who is still very active in most aspects of the farm. Dan and Seena are active in the Farm Bureau, Wright County ADA, Wright County DHIA, and MN Holstein Association. Dan has been active with the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted FFA Alumni, serving in the past as president and vice president. Seena is active in the Region 5 FFA and State FFA Adult Board. | |||||||||||||
