Winona County
Sanders Family

When Dean and Donna were married in 1977, they worked and lived on the farm that they would have never dreamed of owning and calling home 22 years later in St. Charles, MN.  Today Dean and Donna own a mixture of Registered and Grade Holstein, Brown Swiss, and Ayrshire cows.  When the two began milking, they started with 100 cows and now milk about 200. They run 458 total acres and grow corn, oats, and alfalfa.  Dean and Donna have 3 children and 7 grandchildren who all help out as needed.

Dean and Donna have been active 4-H Leaders for 18 years, not only mentoring their own children, but allowing children from the city to show their cattle and learn about the dairy industry.  All of their children have been active in the Utica Victory 4-H Club showing cattle and holding various leadership roles.  Dean is a member of the Winona County Fair Board and Donna is actively involved in church activities at St. Charles Borromeo Church.
