Don and Barb Johnson The Johnson Farm of Verndale, MN has been in the family since 1910. At that time, it was a diversified farm having dairy, beef, and hogs. The family was one of the first in the area to begin irrigating in 1963. The family milked for a total of 93 years until 2007 when they switched to only beef. Don and Barb took over the family farm and currently have a beef cow/calf herd. They raise corn, soybeans, and alfalfa. Don and Barb have two daughters, Tamara and Kristie, two sons, Mark and Michael, and two daughter in-laws Kelly and Missy. Their son Mark owns some beef cows/calves and helps when he can with various aspects of farming. Don and Barb attend Verndale Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. Barb is the Sunday School Secretary and a township clerk. | ||||||||||||||
