Don and Barb Johnson

The Johnson Farm of Verndale, MN has been in the family since 1910.  At that time, it was a diversified farm having dairy, beef, and hogs.  The family was one of the first in the area to begin irrigating in 1963.  The family milked for a total of 93 years until 2007 when they switched to only beef.  Don and Barb took over the family farm and currently have a beef cow/calf herd.  They raise corn, soybeans, and alfalfa.  Don and Barb have two daughters, Tamara and Kristie, two sons, Mark and Michael, and two daughter in-laws Kelly and Missy.  Their son Mark owns some beef cows/calves and helps when he can with various aspects of farming.

Don and Barb attend Verndale Christian & Missionary Alliance Church.  Barb is the Sunday School Secretary and a township clerk.
