Gary’s grandparents and parents relocated to Traverse County by rail from Nebraska in the 1930’s in hopes of purchasing a farm. Today, Gary and Rhonda live in Herman, Minnesota on a diversified crops and livestock farm raising corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa and feeder cattle.
Gary and Rhonda have five children ranging in age from 3 to 10 and are active at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wheaton. Gary is involved in the Traverse County Sportsmen’s Club, Optimistic Investment Club and Extension’s Ag Marketing Club. He also serves as the 7-8th grade Sunday school teacher and Rhonda belongs to the church circle.
