| | | Todd County Delvin and Debra purchased a hobby farm in 1979 and began raising lambs. The couple soon outgrew that farm when they added Simmental cattle, so they relocated to their current farm in Long Prairie, Minnesota in 2002. Today the Durheims maintain a flock of 60 ewes that is comprised of Registered Dorsets and black-face lambs along with 35 Simmental cows.
Delvin and Debra have been very involved in the community and believe that in order to maintain a strong community that one should contribute and be involved in industry, community and civic organizations. The Durheims have been in numerous organizations including: Minnesota Lamb & Wool, Minnesota and American Simmental Associations, MN Beef Cattle Improvement, Todd County Ag Board and were the founding members of the Mississippi Valley Cattlemen’s Association.
