Wayne and Susan Westerman Family Farm Wayne’s father emigrated from Germany in 1929. He worked until he was able to buy his own farm. He farmed until he retired in1972 and Wayne began farming. Wayne and Susan incorporated in 1992 and have operated in that manner since. Wayne and Susan hope their children and grandchildren are able to continue to operate the farm in the future. The current family farm raises corn and soybeans. They also do some custom farming. They have a machinery sharing arrangement with another farmer to lower equipment costs and have access to more labor during busy seasons. Wayne and Susan have four children, Matthew, Lucas, Chris, and Jeremy. Wayne has been the Everglade Township clerk for 25 years and is the current steward on Stevens Forward group. Susan is involved with many local community committees. | |||||||||||||
