Kuseske Farms After finishing college, Denny and Gretchen returned to Kimball to farm with Kenny’s dad, who originally bought the farm from his father in 1940. At that time, they were raising beef cattle. In later years, the beef production turned into a hog production. The family raised hogs for almost 20 years and then in 1990, sold the hogs and since then have been strictly a cash crop operation. They now own and farm about 1400 tillable acres. Over the years, they have raised peas, sweet corn, hay, buckwheat, and seed corn. The current operation has twelve center pivots. The family has been involved in many school activities over the years, serving on many committees. Because all of the children have been involved with school activities, from music to sports, the whole family has also been involved. Their two daughters were very involved with FFA. Denny also served on several community committees such as the local irrigation board. | ||||||||||||||
