The Richards farm, located in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota, is a century farm that was homesteaded by Bob’s great-great-grandfather, Gibson in 1896. The current house and barn were built by Bob’s grandfather. Currently the farm is a corn and soybeans operation that also custom-raises 1,200 nursery pigs every 8 weeks.
Robert received a degree in Ag Education from the University of Minnesota and Susan received her masters degree in English from St. Cloud State University. The two are active in the Zion Lutheran Church and the Buffalo Lake-Hector School Board. Bob worked with the original County Corn Growers Association and is a member of the County Pork Producers.
