Alan and Jeanette’s farm, located in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, was homesteaded by Alan’s grandfather in 1900. Since then the farm has remained in the family and was taken over by Alan and Jeanette in the early 1980’s. Currently, Alan runs the farm which consists of a cow/calf operation and Jeanette works at the Red Lake Falls Veterinary Clinic.
Alan and Jeanette have two children. Son, Dominic, is in the USAF and just returned from being deployed. Their daughter, Jill, is a 2008 high school graduate and will be attending North Dakota State University this fall to study Veterinary Medicine. The Ste. Marie’s are involved with the Gervis Township Board, the Area Sportsmen’s Club and local 4-H.
