Halls Farms; Mark and Michelle Halls Mark is the 4th generation of Halls to farm in Pope County. He is the 2nd generation on the farm he currently lives on in Brooten, MN. Today, Mark and his family raise beef cattle and sheep. They feed out about 150 Holstein steers and lamb out about 90 ewes each year. In the spring, Halls have an annual show lamb sale. In addition to the livestock, they raise corn and alfalfa to feed the animals. They also raise soybeans and wheat to sell. Mark and Michelle have three children: Kelly, Kim and Chris. The kids were actively involved in 4-H and FFA. Today, Chris, and his wife, Kelly, farm with Mark and Michelle. They raise stock cows and crops. Mark and Michelle are involved in various church activities. Also, Mark and Chris are members of Glacial Ridge Cattlemen’s Association. | ||||||||||||||
