Verdell and Faye Olson have been farming since 1965 and currently farm a joint operation with their son, Troy who is the fifth generation on the Olson farm located in Fertile, Minnesota. The operation consists of approximately 1,000 acres of corn and soybeans on rotation. They also raise bison. The Olsons are also seed representatives for Pioneer Hi-Bred International.
Verdell and Faye have four children and six grandchildren to keep them busy. They are also involved with the Farm Bureau, Farmers Union, Fertile Garden Club, Minnesota Buffalo Association, John Deere 2 Cylinder Club and the Concordia Lutheran Church.
