Located in Rochester, Minnesota, the Holtegaard family runs a 230-cow, 750-acre crop and dairy farm. The farm was established after World War II by Roger’s parents. This farm has expanded greatly since then and now requires three additional employees aside from the family members that are active on the farm.
Roger and Melinda’s children are very active on the farm as well as the county 4-H where they love to show their animals. Nathan currently farms with Roger and will continue to do so until after college. Courtney is a RN in Oncology and Portia is a pre-vet student. Both of them represented Olmsted County as Dairy Princesses for two years. Annabelle and Marjorie are both still active in 4-H and help with the daily chores. The Holtegaard family is a past “Breakfast on the Farm” host.
