Ken and Cheryl Pazdernik Ken grew up on a farm near Waubun, MN in Mahnomen County. He and his six brothers farmed crops and livestock. They raised dairy, beef, hogs, wheat, barley, soybeans, corn, and alfalfa hay. Ken always had farming in his heart, so he helped bring education to farmers. Ken graduated from UMC in Crookston, MN with an Associate’s Degree and at NDSU Fargo, ND with a BS and MS degree in Agronomy. Ken also worked in Norman County for the University of Minnesota Extension Service and other USDA jobs for over 31 years as an Agricultural Agent helping farmers until retirement in 2002. Today Ken still puts in corn and soybean variety plots, replicated three times using the new technologies of GPS and Yield Monitoring systems. Ken and Cheryl are active members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ada, MN. Currently, Ken works part time for the MN Farmers Union. Ken is also involved in Knights of Columbus, Ada Lions Club, and the American Legion Post in Ada, MN. Cheryl is active in Minnada Study Club, Ada Garden Club, and a Quilting Club. | ||||||||||||||
