The Wendinger family owns and operates L&S Farms, Inc. which is a swine and crops farm located in Gibbon, Minnesota. This farm was purchased in 1960 by Dan’s parents and then sold to Dan and his wife, Chris. In 1995, a 2,500 head segregated nursery was built to help them with the nearly 3,000 head of pigs that they finish a year. Dan also raises corn and soybeans for feed and ethanol use.
Dan and Chris participated in the U of M watershed study, have been active in New Ulm Area Catholic School Board, St. George parish and the West Newton Township United Way Committee. Their children, Travis and Jenna, were active in 4-H and are both students at Minnesota State University in Mankato. They are involved with many of the chores when needed.
