Steve and Margie Salentiny & Matthew, Tara, John, and Thomas Steve grew up on the family farm helping his father, Lawrence in Dundee, MN. In 1985, Steve graduated from Fulda High School and took over the farm operation, while attending Worthington Community College. Currently the Salentiny family grows, harvests, and delivers 500 acres of alfalfa, corn, and soybeans as well as finishes feeder cattle. Family 4-H projects also include horses, poultry, and pigs. The family farm is run with the combined efforts of the entire family. Steve is the operator, owner, and is in charge of livestock management, crop production, mechanics, and hay sales. Margie also is an owner and does a lot with crop production. Son and daughter, Mathew and Tara are college students and help on the farm when they can. Sons John and Thomas are students at Fulda High School and are equipment operators and partners in cattle finishing. The Salentiny family is active in FFA and 4-H. Steve has also been the township board clerk for 22 years. | ||||||||||||||
