Raymond and Dorothy Sayles live on a century farm located in Austin, Minnesota where they milk 170 Holstein cows, raise steers and youngstock along with 500 acres of corn, soybeans and alfalfa. The Sayles have been married for 61 years and have raised six children. Their sons, Wayne and Dean, currently work with Raymond on the farming operation.
Raymond has been the sexton of the Enterprise Cemetery for many years and an active member of the American Dairy Association in Mower County. Raymond also volunteers for FFA and 4-H and is an honoree of the Mowery County Hall of Fame. Dorothy has been a 4-H leader, active within her church and has been a part of the Extension Enterprise Home Council.
