Dick Pierce Dick Pierce of Motley, MN bought his first parcel of land in 1979 and since has bought six additional parcels to form his 340 acres. Today, dairy is the main family business. They also feed out Holstein steers and sell crops on occasion. The Pierce Family has installed two center pivots to improve crop production which is also enhanced by the use of liquid manure. Dick’s wife, Bitsy is his right hand person. Dick and Bitsy have three children: Lori, Ross, and Megan. Dick is a past board member of the DHIA and in the past has been on the ASCS Committee. Farming and living in the country have always been a passion of Dick’s and there is no other way he would have wanted to spend his life. He believes the farm it is a great place to be together as a family and a great place for kids to learn work ethic. | ||||||||||||||
