Wilhem Farms was purchased by Bernard and Alvin in 1954. The farm became incorporated in 1970, which brought Mark and Tim into the operation. Currently the farm primarily consists of a corn and soybean rotation with a small number of acres for hay and a few Holstein steers and heifers.
Mark and Tim farm together as a family operation with help from Mark’s sons, John and Mark. Wilhelm Farms, Inc., employs one part-time employee during planting and harvest time to get things done more efficiently. Off the farm, Tim and Mark are active members with the Mille Lacs-Benton County Farm Bureau where Tim currently serves as the director. Tim is also a member of the Mille Lacs County Extension Committee.
