R-L Acres (The Warrens) The name R-L Acres originated when Richard and Lois Warren took over Lois’s family farm in 1965. When Richard and Lois took over, they began harvesting crops and milking 15 cows. John and Mike Warren have helped on the farm since they were out of high school, and officially took over the farm in 2002. Today brothers John and Mike have a LLC Partnership where they milk 150 grade and registered Holstein cows and work 720 acres of crops including corn, soybeans, alfalfa, and oats. They also raise all their own young stock and finish-out dairy steers. John is a board member of the Meeker County Holstein Association and is on the Meeker County ADA with his wife Carol. Carol is active on the Meeker County Fair board and is a county 4-H leader. John and Carol have three children: Jill, Tyler, and Ashley. Their daughter, Jill, was very involved in 4-H and FFA and was a 2007 runner up for Princess Kay of the Milky Way. Tyler is presently involved in 4-H and FFA where he serves as the FFA chapter president and regional treasurer. Ashley is involved in 4-H. | ||||||||||||||
