Kraig and Rachelle Krienke & Family The Krienke Farm has been in the family since 1860. Kraig is the fifth generation Krienke to run it. Throughout the years, it has always been primarily a dairy farm. Currently, the family has 250 milk cows and runs 650 acres. Kraig and Rachelle raise all of their own replacements. On the farm, Kraig is the general farm manager and is involved in all areas of farm work. His wife, Rachelle, does the bookwork, milking, maintains good herd health, and fieldwork. Roger, Kraig’s dad, mixes feed, feeds the baby calves, and helps with fieldwork. Blake and Elizabeth, Kraig and Rachelle’s children, are too young to help but look forward to helping when they are older. Kraig is a member of the Adult Farm Business Management advisory board and a member of the DPEP board of directors. Rachelle is an adult leader for the local 4-H club and volunteers at church and school. | ||||||||||||||
