Chandler Farms Jeff and Carol are the 3rd generation on Chandler Farms started by Jeff’s grandfather Clarence. Jeff started farming with his father Marvin in 1980 and the two have farmed together ever since. Jeff’s son,Troy, joined his father and grandfather on the family farm in Balaton after he received his degree in Ag Business Management. Today, Chandler Farms finishes cattle with a capacity of 2,700 head. The Chandler’s also raise corn, soybeans, and commercially raise and sell dairy alfalfa. In addition to their own farm, Jeff, Troy, and Marvin also custom farm for two of their neighbors. Jeff and Carol have three children: Tom (Alecia), Tara (Marty), and Troy (Gayle). They also have six grandchildren. In the community, Jeff served on the Farm Bureau and Lyon County Soybean boards in the 1990’s. Marvin served on the Farm Bureau, Milk Producers, church boards, and was a township board member for 35 years. Troy is currently a township board member. | ||||||||||||||
