Lincoln County
Dale and Karen Richmond

Dale and Karen grew up in the Arco/Ivanhoe community in Lincoln County and were married in 1967.  Dale began farming Karen’s family’s farm the year before they married.  As the years went by, Dale purchased the farm as well as additional land.  The family raised corn, soybeans, wheat, flax, and alfalfa hay.  They also had feeder calves and a small herd of sheep.  Today, Dale rents the land to his son, Dustin and son-in-law Kelly Krog.  Dale no longer has livestock, but does continue to farm 100 acres that he rents from a neighbor, and raises corn and soybeans.  He helps Dustin and Kelly whenever possible and enjoys watching his family work the land that has been part of his life for more than 40 years.

Dale is a member of the Lincoln County Farm Bureau and the Corn and Soybean Growers Association.  Karen is a retired Kindergarten teacher of 34 years.  Both Dale and Karen are active in their church.  Nowadays, Dale and Karen’s interests turn to activities of their five grandchildren.
