LeSueur County Greenwald's Greenhouse; Rene, Audene, Ron, and Kim Greenwald
The Greenwald farm in Waterville, MN evolved from a part-time business with a small lean-to greenhouse to a second generation family business. The family now has the 3rd generation involved in learning how to work and enjoy the outdoors. Currently, the operation involves four full-time family and many part-time workers. The work done involves bedding plants, fresh flowers, fresh produce, and landscaping. In the last four years, the Greenwald’s have added a second gift and floral business in Elysian, MN.
Rene and Audene are involved in the community by serving on the fair board, judging open class horticulture and enthusiastically supporting 4-H and FFA. They have also been on the Extension Committee and are donators to the Elysian Area beautification. The family also enjoys providing education to people through formal classes and by submitting articles for local newspapers and newsletters.
