The Swenson family farm is a 4th generation farm located in Dawson, Minnesota. Mike began farming in 1981 with his father and his uncle and continued to expand the farm after his marriage to Julie in 1986. Today the Swensons run 780 acres of corn, soybeans and wheat as well as custom finish 800-900 hogs per year. This family operation receives assistance from Mike and Julie’s three children, Nikki, Kelly and Ryan, throughout the year.
Julie teaches at Steven Elementary School and helps with field work after school. Mike and Julie are active in the local wrestling club, their church and helped form the Lac qui Parle County Livestock shows three years ago.
