David and Julie Lindegard

Because Jerry and Lois Lindeguard worked hard and developed a successful farm, David Lindegard is able to farm with two of his brothers, his son, and two of his nephews.  Like David’s parents, David and Julie hope to some day pass the family farm on to the next generation.  Today the Lindegard farm is west and north of Hallock, along the Red River.  It includes wheat, soybeans, and sugar beets.  David and Julie have three children:  Michael (Jolene) Lindegard, Janna (Jake) Curry, and Leanna Lindegard.  They also have five grandchildren.

As a farm family living in town, David and Julie have done what they could to be part of the volunteers that keep their small community going.  David and Julie are active members of the First Presbyterian Church, serving as Deacons, session members, and Sunday School teachers.  They have also assisted in various events throughout the Hallock community, including the All School Reunion and Hallock’s 125th Anniversary. Furthermore, David is a member of the Hallock Fire Department and Julie is a retired EMT and a Hallock Hospital Auxilliary member.
