Joseph grew up on a small farm located in Lancaster, Minnesota with his parents, Joseph and Victoria. In 1977, Joseph and his wife, Peggy, purchased this farm and for many years, have raised beef cattle, hay and small grains. Joseph’s parents were named the Kittson County Farm Family of the year in 1971.
Joseph is currently on the Soil and Water Conservation District for Kittson County, a member of the Lion’s Club and a former school board member. Joseph enjoys being outdoors, trapping and deer hunting. Peggy plays piano for the Sion Lutheran Church and enjoys reading, painting and quilting. Joseph and Peggy enjoyed teaching an old time dance class to elementary students last winter.
