Brad and Jackie Baumgard Family Brad and Jackie Baumgard of Okabena, MN are the third possessors of their family farm. The farm began with Brad’s maternal grandparents. Then it was passed on to Brad’s parents and then finally to Brad. Today Brad farms 1400 acres of corn and soybeans. In addition, the Baumgard family has a small herd of goats, a few cattle, and 4-H show pigs. The family has been active in the Lacrosse Loyal Workers 4-H club. Brad serves as the swine project advisor to the club. Outside of 4-H, Jackie works as a Field Staff for Education Minnesota and is a Heron Lake-Okabena Community Foundation board member. Brad and Jackie have 2 daughters, Emily and Molly. Emily recently graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University with a degree in biology. Molly has just finished her sophomore year at the University of Northern Iowa majoring in communication. Both girls were members of the Southwest Star Concept FFA. | ||||||||||||||
