Lexy Lane Holsteins; Wayne and Donna Lexvold High school sweethearts, Wayne and Donna Lexvold, bought their 40 acre farm in Kenyon in 1982. Over the years, Wayne and Donna have sold their entire herd twice. However, the two cannot get away from the farming industry and today milk an 85 cow herd twice a day. Beyond the cows, the couple also runs 40 acres. Their quality genetics and strong management have allowed the Lexvolds, a family of seven, to make a living on only 40 acres. Wayne knows that making a living on 40 acres is unique, but he demands quality and is an exceptional manager. Wayne and Donna have five children: Sheila, Nathan, Chad, Drew, and Mitchell. The entire family is involved in the dairy herd and wrestling. Wayne is also involved with the Minnesota Dairy Initiative and DHIA. Away from the farm, he acts as the wrestling coach at Kenyon-Wanamingo High School. Donna is an active member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kenyon. She also serves on the Agricultural Advisory Board and on the Educational Foundation Board. | ||||||||||||||
