Scott and Jean Winslow; Twin Oak Acres The Winslow Family Farm of Fountain, MN has been in the family since 1854. Scott is the 5th generation farmer of the family farm which he bought from his parents in 1987. Scott’s grandfather was the first in the area to use lime on his fields. The lime came on a train and he shoveled it onto his horse drawn wagon and then spread it on his fields with a shovel. Scott’s father was also the first in the area to raise alfalfa for dairy cows. The Winslow Farm has been a diversified farm throughout the years. Today the farm grows corn, soybeans, and contracts finish hogs. They also have a small beef herd for showing in 4-H, FFA, and other shows. Scott and his wife, Jean have two children, Colin and Katie. Scott has been president of the Fillmore County Farm Bureau for 11 years. He is also active in FFA and the Fillmore County Extension Committee, Jean is active on the Fillmore County Pork Producers Board and Farm Bureau. Both Colin and Katie are involved in FFA, 4-H, and activities at church. | ||||||||||||||
