Brad, Robyn, Kasey, and Tyler Olson

The Olson Family Farm has been in existence since 1961 when Brad’s parents moved to Brandon, MN.  When Brad’s father passed away in 1989, Brad bought the cows and machinery and rented the land from his mom.  He currently milks 60 cows, raises steers and heifers, and runs about 425 acres.  Brad does do most of the work, but does get help from his two sons and his mother, Violet.  In addition to renting the land from his mom, Brad also rents land that is a quarter mile to the house that Brad and his wife, Robyn built and live in.

In the future, Brad would like to buy the land that he rents from his mother so his own children have the opportunity to farm if they choose.  Away from the farm, the Olson family enjoys other activities within the community such as church activities, Boy Scouts, and summer recreation.
