Jeff and Susie have farmed together for 28 years since they graduated from college. Jeff has a degree in Broad Area Agriculture and Susie has one in Biochemistry. The Thoes live on a farm that was established over 150 years ago and still uses the same stanchion barn today. Jeff and Susie Thoe farm with their four daughters and Jeff’s parents on a Registered Holstein dairy farm in Hayfield, Minnesota. The family also raises vegetables for market, corn, soybeans, oats, and alfalfa.
Jeff and Susie have been very active outside the farm as members of the Dairy Herd Improvement Association, American Dairy Association, dairy princess program, Dodge County Extension Committee, along with speech, drama, and various sports within the community. Daughters, Bonnie and Amanda, have both been Princess Kay of the Milky Way finalists and were named Miss Congeniality.
