
|  |   | Dakota County Located in Randolph, Minnesota, John and Pat Day own the Day farm, which has been in the family for over a century. The older buildings and farmhouse were built in 1900. John grew up on this farm with a diversified operation of pigs, beef and chickens. Today, the farm consists of 200 acres of corn and soybeans.
Aside from crop farming, John is a skilled welder and finds himself using his talents to help friends and neighbors. John is an active member of the Dakota County USDA Farm Service Agency committee, the Planning Commission and Road Committee for Castle Rock Township and the Rice County Steam and Gas Engine Association. John has been a volunteer fireman for Randolph for 24 years. Pat has taught Sunday school at Christ united Methodist Church for 25 years and has also been a 4-H and Hospice volunteer. Pat is an accomplished horsewoman and has written and published a history of the working horse for Farmamerica.
